One of our popular products is the Sugar Baby Watermelon, known for its sweet and delicious flavor. Plant three seeds per peat pot, 1/4" deep, and provide heat to keep the soil at least 80-85 degrees F. This annual plant takes 85 days to grow, reaching a height of 6-12" with 5-6' spacing. The watermelons produced are nearly round, weighing around 25 lbs, with striped green skin and crimson flesh.

Suitable for Hardiness Zones 3 to 12, the Latin name of the Sugar Baby Watermelon is Citrullus lanatus. It is an Open Pollinated, Heirloom, Warm Season plant that is perfect for planting in your garden or storing for emergencies.
